Apparently she thought I wanted to talk to her about something. Oh well, I’m alive. Yeah, I really don’t feel like talking to her anymore, and I don’t wanna talk to her about it bc I’ve got other things on my mind and like, she figured it out exactly, but I’m not going to say anything to her. I’d rather she starts doing what she tells me she wants to do and then I’ll feel better when I’m talking to her.

It’s hard to see people get walked all over by other ppl especially when it’s your friends and so I’m not gonna worry about her anymore. She can make her own mistakes, and I may or may not be there. Oh well. Nothing big, just makin’ my own decisions for a change, and it’s like if I see a building ready to fall, I guess I shouldn’t tell anyone inside that it’s gonna break because they won’t listen to me, so when it falls, I just may or may not go in to help people since I already did all I could and the people didn’t want my help.

So for those of you who don’t know. My DDR Night ad was my 5th experiment in Photoshop. My first one was:

Another one I did was for a DDR Stepmix. This was called Fanime Mix, and it contained anime songs. Too bad it never got finished bc it had a good 80 songs. Most of those were dispursed into other mixes such as Anime Toshokan’s.

This is for the Facebook group Open DDR Players which I created in combat to Closet DDR Players since only ONE person from that group came to any DDR Night from last semester. I left Closet DDR Players over Winter Break.

And the last, #4, was the original crappy DDR Night ad. It was waaaaaay too wordy. Lemme tell ya. But it does look nice in color because of the red/black contrast.

The most prominent way to know if you’ve touched a girl’s boobs is if she becomes enraged and slaps you silly.

If you almost touch a girls boobs because you have your arms around her, she’ll warn you.

If you don’t touch a girls boobs, she’ll tell you to touch them just so she can do the first step. Lol, no, but still, it’s good to know girls that warn you.

I think it’s really lucky bc girls can grap you from behind, and you can’t do anything, well, you probably wouldn’t want to anyway, but no, how careful you have to be…

I’ll just say I’m one who asked where his hands were and got lucky.

Well, I just got done DDRing. My new resolution is to get back into shape. I don’t care if people tell me I look like I’ve lost weight, it just means that it’ll be easier to work myself back into shape now. I’m gonna start doing crunches again like I did sophmore year and see if that helps. Man, I can’t believe I’d do 600+ crunches in some 5-6 minutes whereas now I can already feel the burn after 20 crunches done in 1 minute. Maybe I’ll also pick up the 50 push-ups a night again… Well, I feel like I’ve accomplished everything I possibly could have this week. Now I’m kinda done. So far, I’ve DDRed Monday, Thursday, Friday, and Saturday of this week (well Sunday morning, but Saturday), and I’ve also practiced each of those days. I think I’ll finally be able to gain a proficiency at DDR and marimba and at the same time increase my stamina and do that excersizing thing. I really thing playing mallets is a good excersize of the arms, so I’ll just count that in there too.

I think I’ve sufficiently freaked out a few people this week, maybe only one, but it might’ve been two, and I’m back to my old self. Hopefully this is a good thing.

Okay, so now I can do 10s in DDR pretty well. I can’t believe it either. Now some free-styling is involved, but I can free-style anything pretty well that’s 8 and under and a few 9s which just shows that I’ve gotten better. I can’t believe I’m improving again. I thought I had just hit a wall, but I think, since I didn’t try harder songs all last semester except the beginning of it, and this semester I was free-styling so I didn’t even do anything remotely hard, I think I never saw a change. I am realizing a lot more free-styling techniques now, and more and more I’m able to catch up to Eric–who is going beyond that of what he could do last semester. While I’m probably not better than he was some point into the DDR Nights, I believe I might be where he was during the first DDR Night, but I don’t really know, I’ll have to ask him.

Ryan’s free-styling is comin’ along quite well, but he’s still got a lot to work on. I’m really surprised at how much better he’s gotten from where 8s were hard to where now he can do some 9s AND, he finished Back & Forth on an 8. Quite a feat eh? I don’t even think I remember Chris being able to do that, and he was passing most 9s. Also, Ryan passed Raver’s Fantasy on a 10. While I thought I had it good slowly trying to catch up to Eric, now I gotta watch my back bc Ryan’s beginning to tail me. At least he can’t do 11s yet. I can only do one 11, but I’m getting there.

I almost finished MaxX Unlimited on Monday which goes 320 BPM. I think I can finish Max 300 then because I got near the end before I finally failed and also, it was the 2nd to last song of the night. Even after that, I was still able to complete a full song of Pippi Girl–the song that never ends. This song has been a tradition, a show of stamina. At first, I was the only one who played it and passing it was a god-send, but I was always on the floor dying on breath. After MaxX Unlimited, I probably should’ve died from pure exhaustion, but I did NOT. No, I was able to walk even, and that’s probably the biggest show of my improvement. Yes, for any of those of you out there that play DDR, the full version–4 minutes and 6 seconds–of Pippi Girl is that hardest thing you’ll probably ever do in DDR. I think it’s agreed all around that it’s a hard song and one that just NEVER ENDS!!!

DDR Night has Night is now one of the coolest things around. Almost all the people I hang out with I met at DDR Night and all the people I hang out with go to DDR Night, lol! I would wish all of you to attend at least one since it’s something that’s just THAT worth it. (Hey Mark, you should get a ride down ‘ere for a day/night).

Just so it’s easily accessible to me, I have the newest DDR Night ad that has a few changes which look really good when the ad’s 51 inches x 66 inches.

The ads finally worked! Some girl from Rockhurst came to UMKC for a speech thing and noticed the ads.

This is news to me.

So if you want any DDR Night pictures, I can send you guys a DVD or send them over AIM, but I’d highly recommend a DVD. I have over 100, and I get them for free anyway.

So I was shopping today for Valentine’s day (look to me for procrastination to the max), and I didn’t bring enough money, so I had to walk all the way back to the dorms for money and then I looked for someone with a car since it was very tiring, and I didn’t have time to go back and walk up there again.

Luckily, Anna was there to drive me. When we got there, I asked the lady for the bag I had saved for me, and I wanted to change out one of the boxes of chocolates for another one, and Anna was the one who kept saying: “oh, we’re just switching it out.” Well what happened is the lady switched it out and then gave me the bag. So I didn’t have to pay anything! It would’ve been like $50 since I had to get gifts for 4 girls. Lucky me eh? I didn’t even have $50 with me anyway; I was gonna pay credit.

I never get in trouble for this stuff, but today, I was waitin’ outside of a Church for Karen, and it was actually Feb. 12th so it was really cold and snowing, but it was okay, I was trying to keep warm. I was just reading my book when someone had called the cops on me just SITTING OUTSIDE READING! I looked harmless in my gigantic BRIGHT orange jacket… It was a church with a really large glass window, and I didn’t wanna be a distraction. I mean, I was just waiting for Karen and they put cement benches out there, 5 on each side, so why can’t I sit on one of them and read a book? Did I look like I cared that it was snowing? Did I look like I was going to Catholic mass? Oh, just bc I was a darker color maybe it looked as though I was scary? Well the place was on Troost so…

I just kinda looked inside (yes, the doors were also glass) and I was like, why’s there a cop in there? Well, he was for me… He was like: “Are you okay?” and I said:

Kevin: Yes, I’m just waiting for my friend. I didn’t wanna interrupt or anything (since the glass doors were open!) and I was just sitting out here reading this book while I was waiting for her.

Copper: Oh, well that’s okay. You can come inside. I mean, you’re just reading a book, and it’s warm in here.

Kevin: Okay…

So I got up and went inside and low and behold, the majority of people in the back rows turned around to look at me… Freakin’ cop doesn’t know how to be nice. At least I got to use the restroom before mass ended. I probably should’ve gone in, but I didn’t know what to do at all nor did I think my dress was acceptable enough even though this one was a bit more casual in attire.

It’s a Catholic church, you’d think they’d maybe take me in out of the cold, but NO! They freakin’ call a cop on me. Did they not see me come in with someone and also talk to another person (who went to my High School)? No, they just saw dark skin probably and said, oh no! He can’t be Catholic, oh no, he’s gonna hurt us. Look how scary it is to see someone freezing out in the cold weather reading a FREAKIN’ BOOK!!! Seriously people. See, this is why I don’t like religion. If they didn’t call the cops on me, I bet, if they died, they’d still go to heaven. I bet they don’t even believe in heaven which is why they called a COP! Who the heck does this stuff. Also, because of the Patriot Act, I’m surprised he didn’t say I was a terrorist trying to bomb the church or something outrageous like that and then arrest me right there.

Man, never be nice, people don’t understand. Watching the Green Mile earlier today, I just saw that right on. Racism was part of the movie weather you saw it or not. Thanks to the people who supported Bush in the last election or supported the Patriot Act piece of shit, I have to experience racism first hand. Weather you want to say this was racist, explain why my African-American roommate gets stopped a good 10th of the time he goes outside. Or why one of my Middle-Eastern wingmates was taken from here to a prison in Virginia for 3 months w/o trial and w/o money. They basically said, you’re free to go and that’s it. He had no money so he had to ask for enough to get on a bus back home. Some country we live in. Home of the free? Home of the Brave? More like home of the helpless and the selfish. Yeah, China’s got nothin’ on us.

Also, I made a new stepfile for DDR Night. It’s gonna be sCHweet! I really like it, and it allows for some dancing, but since I made it in 4 hours, it’s got just a few things I could improve, but otherwise, it has no kinks so far in my 10 test sessions…

I high-res picture of my eyeball. It’s really neat actually, and it proves I have a pupil that’s different from my iris. My eyes aren’t black, no siree, they’re brown. Wow that picture’s neat.

Ow, my eyes. I took pictures of my eyes and the camera flash that close couldn’t have been very good for me as now my head feels kinda weird.

So I’m uploading some pictures that are one my camera right now, and I’m posting my mini DDR Night ad so I can print it out tomorrow. So all you on facebook get too see it. It’s one layer of my original ad with a white layer on top with like 50% transparency so it brightens up the background a bit and gives it something to sit on since this ad is gonna be a B&W printout.

There’s the pic. Yes, this one isn’t B&W, but the printout is. It prints out VERY nicely, actually better than it looks.

I was gonna put up some other stuff, but oh well. DDR NIGHT! That’s really my favorite night of the week. I get in shape, dance, push myself beyond my limits, and I have fun talkin’ to people. Really, it’s the only time I actually DO ANYTHING! I hate doin’ stuff alone if I don’t have plans at all that day!!! Mondays are usually the days I get stuff done anyway.

OMG, I’m so happy right now, DDR Night is tonight. All my hard work is finally paying off!

Okay… So I’m going a bit overboard here, but check it out!!! I’m gonna try to get a better more high-res pic of DDR in action and hide it behind Eric and me. Right now, this is what I’ve got. It’s 11×17 for use as a poster and this is the first model of it. I think I’ll end up with two ads with the same base as I think I should make something that’s 11×17 a little more informative. Notice though, the DDR colors in the background (blue and pink).

Okay, I can’t seem to get this down right, but here’s the FINAL version of the DDR Night ad. All I did was darken the red color, but it makes a HUGE difference. Basically, it brings the ad alive.
