DDR again?

Monday, May 25th, 2009

I SUCK! I’m soooo freakin’ bad. What happened? Ha ha ha. I need my cheer crowd and girl back it seems, ah ha ha ha. Oh man those days where I was in my prime are over, but I’ll get back into the game somehow that’s for sure. I need to get back in shape and just move around a bit more. My reading skill is just terrible now too! I was having problems reading songs I’ve passed at least 8 or 9 times before. I’m actually gonna try putting a song in 2x to see how I do. This is sad, but if I can get back to where I was, I might try slowing songs down to 80% or 90% or their main speed so I can get back into reading notes proplerly.

I will never drop my old 1x/Vivid play-style just because my talent went down the drain over the last year, no. This is my time to shine. I need to finally get back into doing things the way I wanted to do them. I need to work back up to passing 10s, then 11s, all the way up to where I was at physically with 13s, and I’ll pass some of those too if I can do it. Working out at night might help, but I need some kinda partner or drive to work out. I had one before, I had a drive to get better at this game, now I just need to find another.

Ok, I can’t even read it on 2x, ha ha. Good for me.

Bad with Directions

Saturday, May 23rd, 2009

You know what I’ve noticed over and over again in my life? I suck at following directions. I don’t know how many teachers have told my parents or me that I don’t follow directions properly, but I’m sure it’s been almost every single one prior to me getting into college. Even then, I have a terrible time following directions.

Using Google Maps, it’s easier to look at the map than the directions. I do pay attention if I need to figure out the number of the exit or something, but the visual reference is worth a lot more to me than a sheet of words.

Good Witch of the West – Astrea Testament completed

Friday, May 22nd, 2009

I finally didn’t fall asleep through all the final episodes. By episode 10 of 13, it finally stopped putting me to sleep mid-episode. FINALLY. So I finished this piece of crap anime, and I’m done. I don’t get the point of most of it. Just stupid! It wasn’t as bad as most of the stuff out there, but it was just so slow and not much in developement. Just about everything occured in the last four episodes, especially the final one. Strange.

Astro Fighter Sunred already completed

Thursday, May 21st, 2009

I completely forgot to write about finishing up this series. I dunno what happened, but I could’ve sworn I wrote about how funny it was. I think I finished it around when I finished Blade of the Immortal actually. Astro Fighter Sunred was hilarious! With 15 minute episodes, it’s something you have to watch. Take on the life of a hero and an evil faction trying to rule the world, it is beyond a normal functioning hero vs villain Power Rangers theme and puts it into reality with some extremely funny instances of the hero actually being the bad guy almost. Situational is just everywhere. Check this one out because it can be watch through very quickly.

Assassin’s Creed beaten

Tuesday, May 19th, 2009

It’s been an eventful week. Two anime finished, two games beaten. I wonder what else is in store for me.

This game was very repetitive after the 4th or 5th level and while I did enjoy screwing around with the enemies for most of it, I could’ve easily done without. Past that though, the same’s story was quite the ringer. I really enjoyed trying to figure out what all was going on and didn’t seem to be wrong about who’s who in this; although, I did have my doubts. This was one of those games where you didn’t just blindly do things, you actually had to think about your actions. Think of playing Mario and wondering if you should really go and save the princess. Crazy huh? After finishing this one, I really can’t wait for the sequel hopefully set to release this year.

Kyou Kara Maou: 3rd Season competed

Tuesday, May 19th, 2009

Yesterday I finished this little diddy. I guess it looks like the end of the entire show. It was well worth it too so nothing really bad at all. I don’t have much to write about it except that it’s really the gay-man’s anime if anything. Enjoyable but kinda strange.

Tales of the Abyss completed

Monday, May 18th, 2009

Finally finished this masterpiece. While thinking about this kinda stuff might be weird, looking at it from the perspective of a videogame makes the story a lot easier to wrap around. It’s got a ton of content and as is the nature of Tales games, it has tons and tons of plot twists. I’m surprised there haven’t been anymore in the last few episodes, but as this last one winds down, I’ll go ahead and explain my findings because I can just see it coming. Actually, one huge story-point just occurred so yes, more is definitely on the way. Tales of Phantasia taught me something, the bad guys aren’t ever really bad and this anime totally rings up with that notion. It just humanizes everything like it is in reality.

Yeah, nothing, ha ha. I guess there was some minor development, but it was fairly anti-climactic. Oh well. I really enjoyed this one. I think it’s good for anyone who really wants to see a videogame play out in anime form, but if you think of it and try to be all realistic and ask why the people are constantly moving and why the plot moves just a tad too fast, realize that it’s a 60+ hour game and you’re cramming it into something like 6 hours. That’s a lot being missed out on. Hmm, I didn’t cry either. It was pretty darn awesome at the end though. Someone make me a costume like that.

Working and Traveling

Thursday, May 14th, 2009

I really still need to find someone that’ll have me work for them. I don’t even need pay, I just need to travel; that’s all I want. I can do my own work for pay, but I’d love to travel places. I really need someone that has travel contacts who could get me some standby deals or something. I think it’s win/win.

More Belgian waffles

Thursday, May 14th, 2009

I made some more Belgian waffles. Actually, I made one more. It was extremely fluffy and undercooked sadly. I had to use a different oil than last time which also wasn’t the right oil either, and then I couldn’t somehow use half and egg so… I dunno, it was all just weird. I don’t feel so good right now even though I spent time toasting the waffle after I first noticed it being uncooked. I think I’ll be fine, but it wasn’t tasting as good as it looked. By the way, that’s cinnamon sugar sprinkled so lightly on it. Cool huh? It actually worked this time.

Prince of Persia beaten

Wednesday, May 13th, 2009

Finally yes, after the 10-20 minutes of credits, it’s over. Finally. I enjoyed it. It was a quick-to-play game, but really, some of it was tedious and boring, but only some. The challenge and the way they designed the game was great. I don’t have much to say about it. I’m peeved the Epilogue costs $10, but I’m gonna YouTube it. I’m just really happy about how the game ended. It feel complete.

Tetsuwan Birdy Decode: 02 complete

Monday, May 11th, 2009

Without knowing it, I finished this little one yesterday. It tied up all the lose ends from this and the first series, but it leaves a little bit more. This is definitely not the last of Tetsuwan Birdy Decode and there should be a few more series I’m sure. I really like this one so I hope it goes well for them. Looking at it now, this might be a longer series seeing as how there’s 20 volumes of the remake of the manga and another manga which started in 2008 which is some other remake. I’m sure there will be a lot more to this even. Here’s to more!

Weather Report

Monday, May 11th, 2009

If anyone hasn’t figured it out yet, the weather this year SUCKED. I mean, from day one, it’s been just really cold, not really snowing, when it does snow, it’s too much, when it rains, it floods, when it’s hot, it still feels cold, but who cares because it’s not snowing.

I am in my house tonight and woke up because I had been sleeping for quite a while and because it’s too freakin’ cold. It’s May 11th and the house feels like it does in January. This is maddening. And I was awake on May 10th, the weather was fantastically cool. I’ve been in shorts for the past week, and it always seems like this recently. I get used to shorts and just cannot yet get rid of my pants. Last year, it got warm early and stayed that way. It was fairly cool sometimes, but I didn’t fear it snowing or anything like I do now. You don’t know what you’re getting anymore. This is just nuts.

Someone needs to go in and tell Mother Nature what’s what. She should be keeping this job is she can’t do it right.

Yes, I still eat

Thursday, May 7th, 2009

I’ve been wanting to just cook more and experiment at the same here. Today, I got up, took a shower, and began on my work making four Belgian waffles using 2 mixes. The very last one I made I also added vanilla in the mix. That is a very very bad idea. I’ll let my dad figure that out tonight when I give it to him to eat. The weird spots on the waffles are from where the cinnamon sugar burned in. That was intended. I can also verify these were cooked as the other side had a darker color.

W00t! Colorado Springs confirmed?

Thursday, May 7th, 2009

Get this, Nick and I were talking an, in October for Sporktober, the chances of us actually making it out there this time are very high.

I’m happy to say that Chuck Enck of Hopscotch Mix was kind enough to gimme a neat message about having free shirts. Well this is something I can’t pass up! I accepted his offer and will proudly wear my shirt the next time I get a chance, maybe in Colorado, maybe before then.

Just remember everyone, life is great. You need to keep livin’ it to be happy. Embrace it; it’ll always be there for you.

Business finally coming along?

Thursday, May 7th, 2009

I think my business really looks like something now. I have a completely redesigned website and finally made a poster. All the information I typed up in October/November will be a good reference for what I’m writing up now. U-Centure will again, be the first one that takes off officially. The rest are going to be worked on after I’m sure about U-Centure. Then I’ll have to work out the logistics for the rest, and I’ll be good.

Here’s a poster I made for U-Centure
